Fourth of July Cupcakes and Marshmallows

Hello all,

As we get ready for the 4^th of July, I was fortunate enough to be able to make red, white and blue marshmallows (strawberry, vanilla and blueberry).

Ashley Place, my friend and co-worker, baked red, white and blue (vanilla) cupcakes which I was fortunate to decorate.

Princess Storybook Cake

Well hello all,

My latest cake is for one of my favorite girls in the world.  My third daughter, Thandie.  She turns three next month (and will actually get another small cake then) but since we went on a mini vacation surrounded by family, we celebrated her birthday then.  She is a huge Minnie Mouse and Disney Princess fan, so for this cake we went with a princess storybook cake.  I love storybooks and so does she (though she is not really reading yet) so I thought it would be fun. 

Even after the traveling disaster (her brother almost ruined it… he smashed the box holding the cake with his legs and took some butter cream with it… had to fix it but it was fixed and finished nicely…)

The cake is chocolate with vanilla buttercream and butter cream fondant.  All the piping is done with lavender colored chocolate.  The princess figurines are not edible.  She loved the cake and I can’t wait for the next one.

Justin Beiber Cake

Well hello all,

My latest cake is for one of my favorite girls in the world.  My second daughter, Jamesa.  She is such a huge Justin Beiber fan that I created her a Justin Beiber cake with a frame and guitar I saw and purchased.

The cake is chocolate cake with caramel filling, vanilla butter cream and butter cream fondant.  All the piping is done with lavender colored chocolate.  This was a fun cake to make and she loved it!!!!
